The core aim of TEDx events is to ignite ideas. In congruence, TEDxSIULavale 2016 was based on the theme ‘Ideation Unlimited…Dare to share’ which evokes the courage to share ideas that have the ability to disrupt the normal course of life and bring innovations. Love and heartbreak in the new India

Dr Shyam K Bhat MD is a Psychiatrist, Integrative Medicine specialist, and writer. He has postgraduate training and American Board certifications in two, usually disparate specialties Psychiatry (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology) and Internal Medicine (American Board of Internal Medicine). He is also board certified in Psychosomatic Medicine (ABPN subspeciality), the study of conditions at the interface of body and mind. Dr Bhat combines these qualifications with a deep study and understanding of eastern philosophy and healing practices. Love is one of the most beautiful experiences in one's life. Over the years, the feeling of heartbreaks has intensified because the way the newer generation has felt the relationships is totally different from the earlier generations.

One should be able to like what one really dislike, because it’s all about making yourself adaptive and making the best out of where you work. Actor, comedian and writer Vamsidhar Bhogaraju first came to public attention courtesy of his immensely popular stand-up routines at venues across the country. Notable among his feature film credits as an actor are Churukumara (2014) and the satirical comedy Humble Politician Nograj (2018), the latter of which he also served as a dialogue writer for.

Dr. A Ravindra

India's Urban Crisis: Are Smart Cities the Answer

Dr. A Ravindra served as an IAS officer in various capacities in government before retiring as Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka at the end of 2002. Holds a PhD in Development Studies and has specialized in the urban sector including water management. He was responsible for introducing several governance reforms such as rationalizing property tax system through the Self Assessment Scheme and mobilizing resources for urban infrastructure through municipal bonds. He was instrumental in initiating the Cauvery Water Supply Project (Stage IV) and the Metro Rail Project for Bangalore. After retirement, Dr. Ravindra has served as Deputy Chairman, Karnataka State Planning Board and Sr. Visiting Fellow at IIM, Bangalore. Currently, he heads the Centre for Sustainable Development, a non-profit organization, The Institute for Social and Economic Change, a research organization in social sciences, Bangalore. Dr Ravindra has published several papers and articles on urban and public policy issues. His books include Urban Land Policy, Dance of Democracy and a monograph on Cauvery Water Dispute.
